Below are results from the Idaho Boardstock wakeboard competition held on August, 8, 2009. The day started out with a few rain sprinkles but it cleared up nice for the event. We hope everyone had a great time!
There is plenty to do this weekend in the local wakeboard scene. There is a wakeboarding tournament just across the border in Burley Idaho, called Wake the Snake and up at Jordanelle Resivor there will be all sorts activities for your crew at Fire on The Water.

The IWA has teamed up with the guys at Last Chance Lakes to bring you the best venue Utah has ever seen! Private water, no other boats, wind protected with plenty of areas that are great for spectators to get a great look at the action!

You will also be able to sign up as a member to compete for the year end prizes…In the past those have ranged from cash, motorhome rentals, free wakeboards, trips to The Projects to ride with Byerly and Pat P and much much more! Sign up as a member and get eligible to win. Registration as a member will be cheap this year….call it the IWA stimulus package! $29.00 for the year!
The TOP THREE SCORES will be tallied this year to find our champion.

If you have been involved in any kind of amateur wakeboard tournaments, then chances are that you have heard of the INT League. In 1993 Rick Stocks had the idea to host a waters ports competition that anyone could compete in and not be intimidated. Since then the INT League has grown to over 20 states and includes all the latest water sports including wakeboarding.
This year will mark the first year that wakeboarders in UTAH will be able to compete in a local INT Event. Wakeboarders of all skill levels will have two chances to impress the INT judges and earn an invitation to the US Championships in Bakersfield, CA.
To get ready for the Utah INT tournaments you first must purchase an INT Membership. This membership is good for all INT competitions nation wide. Next determine what division you want to register for. There are many options when it comes to wakeboard divisions in the INT:
Once you know what division you want to enter head over to the INT website and register for the event. Then we recommend downloading the 2009 rules & guidelines, so that you can become familiar with the format of the INT. For wakeboarders we recommend reading pages 6-7,26-27,30,33-36. Another rule to point out is that HELMENTS WILL BE REQUIRED!!!!
This year the Utah INT will be sponsored by Supra Boats, Marine Products Pro Shop, Company Wake, Rockwell Watches, Rev3 Energy Drink, & Wakeology So you know there will be some sweet prizes for the winners.
The first INT competition will be held on May 30 in St George, UT. Practice sessions will be held the night before for $10, behind the same boat that you will ride behind in the next day. The picture below shows where the coarse will be setup.

WakeUtah has teamed up with Rockwell Watches to give Utah Wakeboards a chance to win some sweet prizes this summer. We are excited to announce the Rockwell Summer Photo Contest. So here is the deal first get your hands on some Rockwell Stickers either at Adrenaline Hard Wear at the Gateway Mall or from the WakeUtah crew at any of our events. Now slap those stickers all over your wakeboard, bindings, boat, or whatever you can get them to stick to. Next start taking pictures of you and the Rockwell Sticker(s). Pick you favorites, head over to your my.WakeUtah.com profile and upload as many pictures as you want, but make sure to tag them with the word: Rockwell. Once a month the Rockwell crew will pick their favorite picture and hook the owner up with some Rockwell Swag. Then at the end of the Summer Rockwell will pick their favorite photo and hook that person up with a killer Rockwell Prize Pack.
Liquid Force and Marine Products will be hosting a “Ride Ben Greenwood Contest” at the upcoming Salt Lake City Boat Show next month. Running February 4th through the 8th, every consumer that spends $50 on Liquid Force product at the Marine Products booth will be entered into the “Ride with Benny G” contest. Ben and the Marine Products crew will take you out for a day on the water that you’ll never forget! This is an opportunity to get behind a new Supra and learn/ride from one the best in the game. Be sure to also come by the MP booth to check out the brand new Liquid Force Edition Supra!
The drawing will take place Sunday, February 8th at 4pm, prizes are as follows:
Grand Prize: Winner plus 5 of his friends get a day on the water with Ben and the MP crew in Utah. Lunch and dinner with be included. Winner also gets $500 credit at MP for LF gear.
1st Prize: $500 credit at MP for LF Gear
2nd Prize: $200 credit at MP for LF Gear
3rd Prize: $100 credit at MP for LF Gear

So here is the deal we are putting two rails into the Seven Peaks wave pool during one of their Friday night pool parties. Doors open at 9pm and the Rail Competition will start shortly after. After we wrap up the competition all spectators will be free to stay and enjoy the rest of the party, including DJ & water slides. All spectators will be required to pay the normal entrance fee.
