This years boat show is phenomenal! Pro riders like JD Webb, Parks Bonifay, Ryan Shuppert, Ben Greenwood, Jeff McKee and all those local riders who shred are all hanging out at the South Town Expo Center waiting to talk to you! Just today I saw Parks Bonifay singing a Ronix Ibex wake board at the Marine Products booth, local shredder Zach White was signing autographs for some special ladies and some dudes who wanted him to sign their chest, I thought it was a little strange, but Zach being as smooth as he is, just signed away.
If you have never been to a boat show this is the year to get out there and check it out, there are some sick boats on display, not to mention the Liquid Force Edition Supra that Marine Products is giving away for the season, and that is one clean, pretty looking boat too.
With gas prices dropping 2009 is going to be a great year to get a boat and get out on the water!  And the boat show is a great opportunity to get some great deals and see what the dealers have to offer. Wake board and wake skate riders will show off their latest techniques as they ride in the 170- foot wake skate park that will be constructed inside the South Towne Expo Center.  The wake park, weighing more then 400,000 pounds, includes: a starting pond, landing pool, stunt rails and 54,000 gallons of water.  The park allows show attendees to watch their favorite riders kick, slide, jump and flip off the rails and into the landing pool at boat speeds.

This year the wake park will feature a transformable rail that will be alternated between rail jams.  Changing the angles of the rail allows professional wakeboards to change up their tricks and showcase moves never seen before.

Wakeboard celebrities such as Ben Greenwod, Parks Bonify, J.D. Webb and Jason Kimball will be at the show to sign autographs throughout the show, from Wednesday to Sunday.

The 44th Utah Boat & Watersports Expo will take place at the South Towne Expo Center Wednesday & Thursday, February 4 & 5, 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Friday; February 5, Noon – 10 p.m.; Saturday, February 7, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday, February 8, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Admission is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for juniors (7-12) and kids under 6 are free.  Buy tickets online and save at  www.utahboatshow.com.  For more information, please call 801-485-7399.
